Welcome to ‘Guitar Lessons Reading’! My name is Rich and I am a professional guitar teacher based here in Reading. I have over 10 years experience teaching classical and contemporary guitar and ukulele. I teach all ages and abilities and can offer lessons out of my music studio in Spencers Wood, online teaching or can travel to my students homes if they are based in the Reading area.
ABOUT
I started playing the guitar aged 11 and soon developed a passion for playing and listening to all kinds of music. Having decided this was a path I wanted to pursue further I gained my Diploma in Music Performance and then my BA Honours Degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music. Since then I have taught as a peripatetic music teacher with both Hampshire and Berkshire Music Services and also taught as a private guitar teacher locally in Guildford and then Berkshire.
In addition to teaching I also play with and manage a number of function bands, I also create and perform original music with a number of my peers who also work within the music industry. Music performance and songwriting can be hugely rewarding and enjoyable and I have been lucky enough to have a number of students who I’ve worked with to develop their composition and live performance skills.
Music has always been such a fundamental and rewarding part of my education, as such I strive to inspire enthusiasm for it within others.
I can honestly say I can’t think of anything else that would bring me such joy every day. I love working with students of all ages and abilities and get so much satisfaction from seeing how they grow and develop in their skills and performance. For more information, contact me today.
